Solo Art Show by Carey W. Roberson

Carey RobersonCONWAY, Ark. (February 28, 2017) — Hendrix College hosts solo show “I Wish I Would Have Hugged Them More” by Carey W. Roberson. Roberson March 6 — March 31, in Art A Lobby.

The show is a solo show of video and mixed media, featuring, “You've gotta keep them tucked away,” single video channel, 00:00:14, 2015

Roberson is currently an Associate Professor of Art at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, where he teaches photography and digital imaging. His artwork integrates traditional studio media with new digital technologies and methods to create quiet personal narratives.

Roberson has exhibited in over 70 competitive, invitational, and solo exhibitions. His work has been exhibited at the University of North Texas, Ithaca College, Huntsville Museum of Art, Mobile Museum of Art, the Arkansas Arts Center, and many other university and private galleries around the nation.

He is a winner of the Arkansas Arts Council Individual Fellowship Award and has works in a number of collections, including the Mobile Museum of Art in Mobile, AL. Carey W. Roberson’s artwork has also been featured in the national publications of New American Paintings and CMYK Magazine.

Roberson is scheduled to give a lecture March 9, at 4 p.m. in Art 110, followed by a reception at 5 p.m.
