Rockefeller String Quartet of the Arkansas Symphony Orchestra to Perform at Hendrix

CONWAY, Ark. (December 1, 2016) — The Hendrix College Department of Music presents a concert by Arkansas Symphony Orchestra principal French Hornist David Renfro with the Rockefeller String Quartet of the Arkansas Symphony Orchestra Monday, Dec. 5, at 7:30 p.m., in Staples Auditorium.

The program includes the Quintet of French Horn and Strings in E-Flat Major, K. 407 by Mozart, String Quartet No. 2 in D Major by Alexander Borodin, and String Quartet No. 1, Op. 10 by Debussy.

The Arkansas Symphony Orchestra are in partnership with the Hendrix College Music Department, which established the Rockefeller String Quartet as the string quartet in residence at Hendrix College. The partnership has created collaborative projects, performances, master-classes, and the quartet’s mentoring of students.
