“The Hendrix delegation hit the ground running from the opening gavel of the conference, taking on leadership roles their respective simulations,” said Hendrix politics and international relations professor Dr. Daniel J. Whelan, who accompanied the students. “In addition to the award
winners, our delegates in the General Assembly main committees and the IAEA delivered effective floor speeches early in the session that helped organize their work. They were also active in floor debate, sponsored a variety of resolutions, and worked closely with other delegations in revising other draft
resolutions.”
This year’s AMUN conference enjoyed record-breaking numbers, including 99 participating schools, 143 countries represented, and 1,587 student delegates, Whelan said.
