Student Accounts Director to Serve on National Conference Committee

(October 21, 2016) – Chris Simon, Director of Student Accounts at Hendrix College, was recently appointed to serve on the Student Financial Services Conference planning committee for the National Association of College and University Business Officers (NACUBO).

Simon was selected for the committee for his involvement in previous conferences and industry knowledge and expertise.

“After a personal struggle with my initial college endeavor, I’ve always strived to make sure I am doing everything possible to assist Hendrix students in obtaining their degree in the optimal timeframe,” said Simon. “Retention is important on a large scale, but it really hits home for me on a personal level as well. I’m honored and excited to be able to spread the Hendrix College message with our peers.”

Simon will present “Retention: From a Financial Standpoint and Beyond” at the Southern Association of College and University Business Officers (SACUBO) National Conference in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, on November 7.

Simon and Associate Vice President for Finance Shawn Mathis spoke about the role of the Business and Student Accounts Office in college retention efforts at the 2016 NACUBO Student Financial Services Conference in Memphis, Tennessee.
