Hendrix Hosts Screening and Discussion of Hamilton’s America Documentary

(September 20, 2016) – The Hendrix College Department of Theatre Arts and Dance, in partnership with the Arkansas Educational Television Network (AETN), will host an advance screening of the PBS documentary Hamilton’s America about the making of the Broadway musical Hamilton on Sunday, Oct. 9, at 2 p.m., in Mills A in the Mills Social Sciences Center on the Hendrix campus. The event is free and open to the public.

Hamilton's America premieres as part of the PBS Arts Fall Festival on Friday, Oct. 21, at 8 p.m., on AETN.

Following the screening, there will also be an interdisciplinary discussion titled (Re)Presenting History: Hamilton’s Americaabout the documentary, the musical, and related themes.

The discussion is co-sponsored by Departments of History and Theatre Arts and Dance, the Offices of Diversity and Inclusion and Student Activities, the Film Studies Program, and Project Pericles.
