WestCONWAY, Ark. (August 25, 2016) – Hendrix College will host "Becoming an Ally: The Role of White Christians in the Struggle Against South African Apartheid," a lecture by internationally known biblical scholar Dr. Gerald O. West is Head of the School of Theology at the University of KwaZulu-Natal in Pietermartizburg, South Africa. He is author of Biblical Hermeneutics of Liberation: Modes of Reading the Bible in the South African Context and The Academy of the Poor: Toward a Dialogical Reading of the Bible.
