Campus Kitty 2016

Campus Kitty Check Ceremony - 20160421 - 12433320CONWAY, Ark. (May 2, 2016) —Hendrix College students raised $38,080.73 through Campus Kitty activities this year.

Campus Kitty proceeds were donated to 10 nonprofits in Faulkner and Pulaski counties, including:

  • Bethlehem House
  • Conway Cradle Care
  • Conway Interfaith Clinic
  • Faulkner County Senior Citizens Program
  • Faulkner County Single Parent Scholarship Fund
  • GMeal
  • Community Service, Inc.
  • Pridecorps
  • Quapaw Quarter Community Breakfast
  • The Safe Place

“I am proud of our committee’s work this year. We probably had the youngest cohort since Campus Kitty’s formation in 1949, yet each member grew by leaps and bounds with every event,” said Campus Kitty chair Mark Hickey ’17. “All projects that we voted on supporting in the fall were funded this year. Our awareness efforts saw our non-profits come to campus in the middle of the year to connect our students with issues facing central Arkansas. Those students, along with our faculty and staff, responded by helping us raise over $38,000, a remarkable amount for a school of this size.”
