Hendrix College Wind Ensemble Concert

CONWAY, Ark. (February 8, 2016) — The Hendrix College Wind Ensemble will perform its annual Winter Concert on Monday, March 14, at 7:30 p.m., in Staples Auditorium.

The Wind Ensemble performs five concerts annually and is composed of students from a wide variety of majors on campus.  The Winter Concert, which is free and open to the public, is sponsored by the Hendrix College Music Department. The Wind Ensemble Winter Concert program includes:

  • Elements by Brian Balmages
  • Hymn to a Blue Hour by John Mackey
  • Spoon River by Percy Grainger
  • The Witch and the Saint by Steven Reineke
  • Fantasia for Band by Vittorio Giannini
  • Folk Dances by Dmitri Shostakovich
