CONWAY, Ark. (February 8, 2016) — Hendrix College Wind
Ensemble will host the 2016 Festival of Winds Honor Band on May 7, at Hendrix
College in Staples Auditorium.
High school students from Arkansas and surrounding states
will gather to collaborate in making music under the direction of Dr. Gretchen
Renshaw, Hendrix College Wind Ensemble Conductor. Throughout the day, students
will rehearse with Dr. Renshaw and have sectionals with Hendrix College applied
faculty, all in an effort to improve and deepen musical skills.
An online nomination
form
is available for high school band directors to nominate their students this
year. Nominations are due by March 15.
