Hendrix Dining Services Whips Up Award-Winning Year

CONWAY, Ark. (May 30, 2014) – Hendrix College Dining Services recently received four Loyal E. Horton awards in the 2014 National Association of College and University Food Services (NACUFS) competition.

Dining Services received the following awards:

  • Gold: Residential Dining - Special Event
  • Gold: Retail Sales - Single Concept
  • Silver: Residential Dining Concepts
  • Bronze: Catering - Online Menu

“The Hendrix Dining Services staff is so valued by our community,” said Dean of Students Jim Wiltgen. “While they provide outstanding food, it is the customer service, and love for our students, that truly sets them apart.  They make everyone who walks in through their doors feel like royalty.”

“The theme days in the cafeteria create excitement and make dining at Hendrix even more fun,” he said.  “Students develop such a strong relationship with our dining staff that they often invite dining staff to their performances and sporting events.  Even more amazing, the staff takes the time to attend many of those events in support of our students.”

“I can’t think of a more deserving group to be recognized.  My deepest congratulations to director Mike Flory and the entire dining staff,” said Wiltgen.
