CONWAY, Ark. (March 4, 2014) – The Hendrix College
Chamber Orchestra and Hendrix Dance Ensemble will hold their annual Waltz Night
program on Sunday, March 9, at 3 p.m. in Trieschmann Galley.
The program includes waltzes, polkas, tangos and guest
appearances by the Hendrix College Dance Ensemble and violinist Magdalena C.
Ryszkowski in the Havannaise by Saint-Seans. This year's Waltz Night theme is
Mardi Gras.
Waltz Night is an annual fundraiser by the Hendrix Chamber
Orchestra and Dance Ensemble to benefit the Arkansas Youth Orchestra. The
orchestra performs music while dancers demonstrate and lead audience members in
dancing waltzes, polkas, tangos, and other ballroom favorites.
The program is open to the public. Admission is free, and
voluntary donations to the Arkansas Youth Orchestra are gratefully accepted.
Refreshments are provided.
The winner of the Hendrix Chamber Orchestra’s annual
