New NCAA D-III Sport Debuts at Hendrix

CONWAY, Ark. (February 7, 2014) – The new Hendrix College women's lacrosse team will debut today at 7 p.m. at Southwestern University in Georgetown, Texas.

It is the first women's lacrosse game for an intercollegiate varsity team in the state of the Arkansas. The first home game will be Saturday, Feb. 22, against conference rival Berry College.

Hendrix has 16 players from 10 different states on the roster. The Warriors are coached by Peri West, who also started the program at Mount Ida College in Newton, Mass.
