CONWAY, Ark. (September 20, 2013) – In the spirit of friendly competition, Hendrix has issued
an Alumni Giving Challenge to
Southwestern University, a strong peer institution in Georgetown, Texas.
Like Hendrix, Southwestern
launched a NCAA Division III football program this fall. Hendrix hosts
Southwestern on Saturday, Sept. 28, at noon at Young-Wise Memorial Stadium.
For fun and school spirit,
Hendrix alumni and seniors have the opportunity to work together to show their
Hendrix pride. Gifts support scholarships and financial aid through the Hendrix
Annual Fund. Gifts from members of the Hendrix senior class will be counted as
well!
“This
challenge is all about participation,” said Melissa Jenkins, director of annual
giving. “The college with the highest number of alumni to make gifts (of any
size) during the challenge period will win!”
The challenge will run Friday, Sept. 20 at 8 a.m. to Friday, Sept. 27 at 4 p.m.
Results will be announced on Facebook and Twitter during halftime of the game.
