Village Books to Host Book-Signing for Students' Smoothie Recipes

CONWAY, Ark. (February 5, 2013) - Village Books will host a special book-signing event on Saturday, Feb. 9, at 1 p.m. for The College Guide to Smoothies, a humorous recipe guide written by Hendrix students Jimmy Dornhoffer, Harrison Lindley, Marvin McLennon, and Bryan Vanco.

The book sells for $5 and proceeds will benefit Bethlehem House in Conway.

The College Guide to Smoothies is the result of a grant Dornhoffer received through Your Hendrix Odyssey: Engaging in Active Learning.

Pages are designed page to look like a student's notebook that has been doodled in and scribbled in, while in class, Dornhoffer said. Each page includes drawings, the recipe and "a measurement system for taste, healthiness, and weirdness."
