In November 2020 Hendrix announced a grant of $15 million from the Windgate Foundation, the largest non-estate gift in the College's history. In April 2021 Hendrix announced a $2 million challenge grant from the Mabee Foundation. The gifts from the Windgate Foundation and Mabee Foundation will support the launch of the College's Residence Hall Renewal Project, which includes the renovation of historic Martin and Veasey Halls in the core of the Hendrix campus. The College is seeking additional gifts to complete this project.
The $9.2 million Residence Hall Renewal Project, which will begin in late May 2021, is part of A Time to Lead, the College's $150 million campaign. To complete the Mabee Challenge, Hendrix must raise $1.7 million by April 13, 2022.
The Residence Hall Renewal Project will reinforce the vital role of the residential campus experience at Hendrix.
