What is your favorite college memory?

This is a tough one, I have so many and each is important in its own way. Some of my most difficult, but proudest moments in college were serving as an Honor Council member. Other moments were heartwarming, like having a close friend cook her local cuisine for our entire friend group. Ultimately, I think my favorite moments were the little things like staying up late and having silly or serious discussions with friends.

What advice would you give to your incoming students?

Be bold and expand your horizons! College will be over far before you're ready for it to end. Don't hesitate to take classes outside of your major that you think look interesting. Don't be afraid to talk to people and make friends outside of the social groups you're used to. Don't sit idly by while there are so many different clubs, activities, and programs to get involved with outside of academics. When you graduate, you'll feel so much better and more fulfilled looking back and realizing you made the most out of all the time and opportunities presented to you.

What are you passionate about?

I've always had an innate passion towards helping others whether it be in an official volunteer setting or just doing the right thing when the time arises. Additionally, I think that bridging different cultures through empathy, knowledge, and understanding is incredibly important in life. Perhaps above all else I value learning, not only from books and classes, but from life and all the experiences it provides.

On a less serious note, I can be overly passionate about critically analyzing and discussing entertainment media (i.e. movies, books, television shows, etc.).

Who are your four fantasy dinner guests?

Matt Damon, Hugh Jackman, Tom Hanks, Keanu Reeves

Personal Quote

You must see with eyes unclouded by hate. See the good in that which is evil, and the evil in that which is good. Pledge yourself to neither side, but vow instead to preserve the balance that exists between the two." - Hayao Miyazaki
