R. Edward Hendrick

Edward Hendrick imageR. Edward Hendrick, Ph.D. '68, of Chicago, is a Fellow of the American College of Radiology. Dr. Hendrick, a medical physicist in diagnostic radiology was involved in the clinical development of magnetic resonance imaging, its application to breast imaging, and the development and evaluation of digital mammography. He helped establish the American College of Radiology's Mammography and MRI Accreditation Programs and helped define ACR and federal standards for mammography equipment and its quality control. He is research professor at Northwestern University's Feinberg Medical School and director of breast imaging research at the Lynn Sage Comprehensive Breast Center at Northwestern Memorial Hospital.
