Use the search box to begin looking for books, eBooks, and journal articles about your topic. You can search for particular formats using the different tabs in the search box. Remember, books tend to cover a broader subject area than articles do, so you may need to adjust your search terms to find the best resources in each format!
You'll see results from our own Bailey Library's collection, as well as books from libraries around the country (and the world!).
To access materials you find through Discovery, use the "Place Hold," "Request through Interlibrary Loan," "View e-Book," or "View Full-Text" buttons and login or complete the relevant forms when prompted.
If you have any trouble accessing library resources, contact us at libraryreference@hendrix.edu.
We have a large collection of resources, but sometimes you need full-text access to an article or a book that we don't have.
Interlibrary Loan services can make those resources available to you by requesting the materials from other libraries that own them. You'll find detailed information about the service here: https://www.hendrix.edu/baileylibrary/interlibraryloan/.
ILL Forms are available from a Quick Link on the library's homepage or at this link: https://www.hendrix.edu/baileylibrary/baileylibrary.aspx?id=1605.
Articles or individual chapters from books can be requested with the Article Form and generally take 1-2 business days to arrive.
Books are generally available in 1-2 weeks, though it may take longer.
