Hendrix College Announces Tuition Advantage

CONWAY, Ark. (September 4, 2019) — For qualified first-year students entering Fall 2020, Hendrix College will match the published tuition for the flagship public school in the students’ home state.

The new Tuition Advantage is part of the nationally recognized private college’s commitment to being accessible and affordable for all students.

“We developed Tuition Advantage to reassure students that Hendrix is absolutely within their reach,” said Hendrix President Bill Tsutsui. “If a student wants the kind of rigorous hands-on education that we offer, Tuition Advantage means they can come to Hendrix for the same tuition price as their home state’s public flagship school.

“When you consider the close-knit community and support we offer, the opportunities for unique engaged learning experiences that exist, and our four-year graduation rate, which is twice the national average (and nearly three times our state’s average), Hendrix is a great investment for students and families,” he added.

To be considered for the Tuition Advantage, students must first apply for admission to Hendrix. Complete applications are evaluated holistically based on academic performance, leadership, extracurricular activities, and service. All accepted students are considered for Hendrix financial aid and scholarship programs, including the Tuition Advantage.

If a qualified student still owes more in tuition and fees than the published rate for their state flagship after all Hendrix College-provided aid is applied, Hendrix will award an additional scholarship to bring the amount down to the flagship institution rate.
