CONWAY, Arkansas (May 16, 2024) — Hendrix College recently hosted nearly 200 high school students and family members for a special college search information program.

The event was part of the Small Town and Rural Students (STARS) College Network, an organization dedicated to working with high schools and access organizations to widen pathways to higher education for rural and small-town students.

“We were thrilled to welcome students and their families to the STARS College Fair at Hendrix,” said Ryan Cassell, Vice President for Enrollment and Dean of Admission at Hendrix.

Students and families received expert advice on the general college application process, financial aid, testing policies, and many other important topics related to the college search process. Afterward, students and families could speak to admission officers from institutions across the country.

In addition to Hendrix, the college fair included representatives from Caltech, Case Western Reserve University, Colby College, Columbia University, Northwestern University, The Ohio State University, University of Chicago, University of Southern California, Vanderbilt University, University of Wisconsin, and Yale University.

“It was an honor to host this program, provide students and families with resources on the college search process, and give them an opportunity to learn more about Hendrix and our peers and colleagues at institutions across the country,” said Cassell.
