Robert L. Chapman, IIIPartner
Bob has more than 20 years of development experience. He was one of only 25 developers in the entire country invited to sign the Charter of the New Urbanism in 1996.  Bob serves on the Board of Directors of the Historic Preservation Society of Durham.  He was founding chair of the North Carolina Smart Growth Alliance and has served on the boards of the Duke School for Children, the Carolina Theater, St. Joseph’s Historic Foundation and the Duke Art Museum.

Adam Dickinson – Partner
Adam’s experience in real estate began on the job site with Bob Dickinson Construction.  The family-owned company designed and built custom homes and commercial spaces with a steadfast focus on delivering the highest possible quality.  Prior to joining TND Partners, Adam worked in marketing, operations management, and financial services consulting.  Adam is a graduate of Swarthmore College and the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University.

Milton Grenfell – Partner
Committed to practicing in the great tradition of Western architecture and urbanism, Milton Wilfred Grenfell founded his firm, Grenfell Architecture, in 1986.  He is a recipient of classical architecture’s prestigious Arthur Ross award.  Grenfell is currently designing an extension to the eighteenth century colonial capital of Edenton, North Carolina, civic buildings for new traditional neighborhoods, as well as single-family homes from New York to Mississippi. He is active in architectural preservation and the Institute of Classical Architecture and Classical America.

About New Urbanism:
New Urbanism is an international movement to reform the design of the built environment, and is about raising our quality of life and standard of living by creating better places to live.  New Urbanism is the revival of our lost art of place-making, and is essentially a re-ordering of the built environment into the form of complete cities, towns, villages, and neighborhoods — the way communities have been built for centuries around the world.  New Urbanism involves fixing and infilling cities, as well as the creation of compact new towns and villages.

Selected Projects by TND Partners, LLC:

TrinityHeights
An infill project adjacent to Duke University’s East Campus that turned a blighted area into one of Durham’s most popular neighborhoods.

Southlake
A path-breaking 8,000 unit multifamily project designed by Andres Duany and executed with a commitment to affordability and with unwavering attention to detail.

Strawberry Hill
164 beautiful acres adjacent to Edenton, the historic and picturesque colonial capital of North Carolina. The Strawberry Hill community will be designed to reflect local architectural heritage and protect the natural splendor of the adjacent waterways.
