Student Affairs is pleased to offer a Shuttle for transportation to and from
the airport before and after holiday breaks. To provide this service there is a
non-refundable ten dollar ($10) charge each way per student to cover gas and mileage.
This fee will be charged to your student account and can be paid at the cashier’s
window at your convenience.
The Hendrix bus will leave from the Couch Circle next to the Altus Bell. The
bus will be available to load for approximately half an hour before departure and
will leave on time as listed below. It will then take approximately one hour to
arrive at the Little Rock Airport.
Timeliness is critical in offering this service to students. We will leave on-time
from Hendrix and will pick up at the airport on-time. Unfortunately, we will not
be able to hold our transportation for late arrivals (either on-campus or at the
airport). Others have planes to catch as well, and it would be disrespectful to
hold them up. If seats are available on another shuttle, we are happy to accommodate
you. However, if you miss the last shuttle, transportation to the airport or back
to campus will be your responsibility (likely via friends or taxi service which
costs about $80/each way).
We trust that you are planning your travel wisely. Please make sure that the
estimated arrival will allow the recommended two hours prior to your flight time.
The College cannot be responsible if you miss your plane. We will do everything
we can to stay on schedule, but know that unforeseeable and uncontrollable events
do happen.
