The beauty of Greene Chapel and the serenity of the surrounding campus make Hendrix College the perfect place to hold a wedding. Hendrix encourages its students and alumni to hold their weddings in the Chapel, as a part of a life-long relationship with their school. Greene Chapel is a wonderful place for the celebration of marriage between persons who desire a wedding in a setting dedicated to Christian worship. Persons who choose to be married in Greene Chapel should do so with the intention of celebrating their marriage in a service that recognizes the sanctity of marriage and invokes the holy blessing of God.

In the spring, summer and early fall, weddings are also held outdoors, in the Gazebo just west of Greene Chapel and Staples Auditorium. Wedding receptions may be held either in the Gazebo or in Hulen Ballroom, at the north end of Hulen Hall.

Guidelines have been prepared for those who want to plan a wedding at Hendrix College. They are intended to facilitate the planning process and to provide clarity regarding our policies. Reservations for weddings and receptions are handled exclusively by the Wedding Coordinator in the Office of Student Affairs.
