The first days of Hendrix Orientation are designed to help parents and family members adjust to the "college transition" as well as the students.  We encourage you to attend our optional Parent Orientation.  You'll have the opportunity to participate on Aug. 18 until about 7:45 p.m. and on Aug. 19 until 1 p.m.

After our friendly orientation staff helps your student move into his or her room on Aug. 18, you'll enjoy multiple chances to interact with other parents and the Hendrix staff.  We'll have interactive parent meetings where our staff will talk to you more about the Hendrix culture and academic experience.  We'll also provide valuable information to help you and your family transition to life while your student is away at college.

You'll also enjoy the New Student Convocation, a parent and family reception with the senior administrators of the College, a Student Life and Services Fair, the opportunity to attend a worship service and much more.  And, of course, there is no fee to participate in these activities.
