What to expect in June:

Insurance: Students entering Hendrix College are required to have adequate health insurance. If you do not have coverage through family or other sources, Hendrix does provide a plan for students. Information regarding health insurance requirements and a brochure outlining Hendrix’s insurance program will arrive in early June. Please read carefully about the program’s benefits and waiver information.

Academic Welcome: In mid-June, or soon after your admission process is complete, you will receive an academic packet containing instructions and materials relating to academic planning, your faculty advisor, and building your schedule for next year. Any questions you have prior to receiving this packet should be directed to advising@hendrix.edu or (501) 450-1254.

Computers: Instructions for accessing your Hendrix e-mail and campus web accounts will be mailed with your Academic Welcome packet in mid-June. If you are curious about what type of computer to bring or have other technology questions, please visit the Information Technology Help Desk Web site at www.hendrix.edu/IT or call (501) 450-1340.

Orientation: Time to gear up for your arrival at Hendrix! Look for your booklet outlining Orientation trip possibilities in mid-June. Information about Orientation can be found at www.hendrix.edu/Orientation or by calling the Orientation staff at (501) 450-1291.

What to expect in July:

Housing: Look for your housing assignment and roommate(s) information to arrive in early July. A list of suggested and prohibited items for moving in will be sent along with your housing assignment. If you have any questions, please visit the Residence Life Web site at www.hendrix.edu/ResidenceLife, e-mail housing@hendrix.edu, or call (501) 450-1416.

Billing: Your tuition bill will be sent in early July. Please remember that account balances are due on August 3, 2009. A description of the Tuition Management System payment plan will be enclosed. E-mail our Student Accounts Manager, Dana Brown, at brownd@hendrix.edu or call (501) 450-1214 with any billing questions.

Family Packet: A packet welcoming families to the College will arrive in mid-July. The packet includes a Family Guide and information about making the transition to college. If there are additional parent or guardian addresses to which packets should be sent, please e-mail adm@hendrix.edu or call (501) 450-1362.

Orientation: In late July, you will receive your Orientation trip placement. Information about Orientation can be found at www.hendrix.edu/Orientation or by calling the Orientation staff at (501) 450-1291.

What to expect in August:

Parking: You will receive your parking registration and permit upon checking in on Move-In Day on August 18, 2009. If you have questions about student parking, contact Public Safety at (501) 450-1348.
