What to Expect

We want you to relax and have a great summer.  Here's a list of what you can expect to receive from us over the next few months, which we hope will help set your mind at ease. If you have questions, please call (800) 277-9017(800) 277-9017. We can't wait to see you on August 19 for Move-In Day

What to expect in June:

CampusWeb: Students will receive information on how to access their CampusWeb account in early June. CampusWeb is your online connection to Hendrix. Starting with the New Student Checklist, the first thing you’ll see when you sign in to CampusWeb, and continuing throughout your time at Hendrix, CampusWeb will be the place you go to get things done. The New Student Checklist will guide you through the tasks you need to complete to be prepared for the Move-In Day at Hendrix on August 19.

You enter CampusWeb by clicking on the sign-in button at the right-hand top of the Hendrix homepage (www.hendrix.edu), and using your email address and password included in your Staying Connected packet.

Insurance: Students entering Hendrix College are required to have adequate health insurance. If you do not have coverage through family or other sources, Hendrix does provide a plan for students. Information regarding health insurance requirements can be found on CampusWeb, along with a waiver agreement. Please read carefully about the program’s benefits and waiver information.

Academic Welcome: In mid-June, or soon after your admission process is complete, you will receive an academic packet containing instructions and materials relating to academic planning, your faculty advisor, and building your schedule for next year. Any questions you have prior to receiving this packet should be directed to advising@hendrix.edu or (501) 450-1254.

Computers: Instructions for accessing your CampusWeb and Hendrix e-mail accounts will be mailed with your Staying Connected packet in early June. If you are curious about what type of computer to bring or have other technology questions, please visit the Information Technology Web site or call (501) 450-1340.

Orientation: Time to gear up for your arrival at Hendrix! An online booklet outlining Orientation trip possibilities will be posted on the Orientation Web site in mid-June. Call the Orientation staff at (501) 450-1291 for additional information about Orientation.

What to expect in July:

Housing: Look for your housing assignment and roommate(s) information on CampusWeb in July. A list of suggested and prohibited items for moving in will be sent along with your housing assignment. If you have any questions, please visit the Residence Life Web site, e-mail housing@hendrix.edu, or call (501) 450-1416.

Billing: Your tuition statement will be available online in early July. Please remember that account balances are due in August. Descriptions of a monthly payment plan offered by Tuition Management System and a Tuition Refund Plan offered by A.W.G. Dewar will be available. E-mail our Director of Student Accounts, Chris Simon, at simon@hendrix.edu or call (501) 450-1336 with any billing questions.

Family Packet: A packet welcoming families to the College will arrive in mid-July. The packet includes a Family Guide and information about making the transition to college. If there are additional parent or guardian addresses to which packets should be sent, please e-mail adm@hendrix.edu or call (501) 450-1362.

Orientation: In July, you will be able to access the Orientation Trip Selection Form. After trips have been assigned, you will receive your Orientation trip placement. Information about Orientation can be found on the Orientation Web site or by calling the Orientation staff at (501) 450-1291.
