Five Faculty Members Receive Tenure and Promotion

CONWAY, Ark. (May 16, 2012) - Five members of the Hendrix College faculty were awarded tenure and promotion at the May 2012 meeting of the Board of Trustees.

Three assistant professors received tenure and promotion to associate professor status:

  • Dr. Todd Berryman (History)
  • Dr. Kristi McKim (English/Film Studies)
  • Dr. Daniel Whelan (Politics and International Relations)

 Two associate professors were promoted to full professor:

  • Dr. Fred Ablondi (Philosophy)
  • Dr. Matt Moran (Biology)

Trustees also approved a new major in kinesiology and new minors in kinesiology, public health, neuroscience/study of the mind, and medical humanities.
