Carmina Burana to be presented

CONWAY, Ark. (Feb. 25, 09) – The Hendrix College Wind Ensemble will present “Carmina Burana!” Monday, March 2 at 7:30 p.m. in Staples Auditorium on the Hendrix College campus. The recital is free and open to the public. For more information, call (501) 450-1422.

The program will include Flight by Brian Balmages; Irish Tune from County Derry by Percy Grainger conducted by Carole Herrick; Children’s March by Grainger, John Krebs, piano; Contre Qui, Rose by Morton Lauridsen / arr. Reynolds; and a suite from Carmina Burana by Carl Orff / arr. Krance.

The Hendrix College Wind Ensemble is conducted by Karen Fannin, assistant professor of music.
