Call for 2010-2011 Award Nominations

Hendrix recognizes the achievements of alumni in the six Odyssey categories by presenting them with Odyssey Medals. In 2004, the College also recognized the Rockefeller Family for its support stretching over nearly a century with the first-ever Founders Award. Now, we need your help to identify worthy recipients for the 2010-2011 awards.

The Board of Trustees established the following criteria for each award:

  • Odyssey Medals are presented by the Board of Trustees to one individual in each area whose life achievements exemplify the Hendrix Odyssey program and accomplishment in the following categories: Artistic Creativity, Global Awareness, Professional and Leadership Development, Service to the World, Research, and Special Projects.
  • The Founders Award is awarded by the Board of Trustees to individuals or families with a legacy of extraordinary humanitarian support and leadership that has served to further the mission of Hendrix College. The award and Founders Day convocation provide a link to the college’s heritage and today’s vision to become a national leader in engaged liberal arts education.

Help us prepare for Founders Day 2010-2011 by nominating someone for an Odyssey Medal or the Founders Award. Please send nominations, addressed to President J. Timothy Cloyd, outlining how your nominee meets the criteria by March 1, 2010  to one of the following addresses:

  • E-mail:  plemmons@hendrix.edu
  • Mail:  Office of the President, Hendrix College, 1600 Washington Avenue, Conway, AR 72032
