  • February: Quiet conversation with Jewish community leaders in Central Arkansas about the creation of the Crain-Maling Center of Jewish Culture
  • Spring 2008: Developed and implemented an Advisory Board for the Center
  • May 19, 2008: Public announcement of the Center’s creation
  • Spring/Winter 2008: Fundraising efforts to secure funding for initial 5-6 years of the Center at $150,000-$200,000/year to support anticipated programming budget
  • Fall 2008/Spring 2009: First year of programming at the Center
  • Spring 2010: Crain-Maling Center of Jewish Culture finds its new home in the Student Life and Technology Center at Hendrix College
