The Department of Education faculty offices, classrooms, and the Education Office are all housed in the Mills Center. A tour of mills can be found here (select "Mills Center" from the dropdown box").
The Education Department's curriculum library, computer lab, and workroom are all part of a suite that serves as the hub for the unit.

| Candidates visit this area frequently to access resources for assignments, to study, and to interact with their colleagues and/or instructors. |

The Education Library is open weekdays from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m for Education majors. It is a place where students can create classroom projects and study. It is managed by Dr. Susan Perry and three student workers who are there to assist faculty with multiple tasks, answer questions from candidates, and welcome those who are new to the department. They also remind users to sign in and out of the lab and to check out any items that they might like to borrow.
Some of the items found in the library are:
2005 CONSTRUCTION
In 2005, the library was reconstructed to better meet our students' needs. During this time, a Children's Library and Book Room were created. The Book Room houses Guided Reading, Shared Reading, Read Aloud, and Interactive Read Aloud materials. Most of the funding to create this room was provided by the Hendrix Murphy Foundation and Odyssey Program in order to establish the Hendrix Early Literacy Program (HELP), a lab classroom at Sallie Cone Elementary School in Conway, Arkansas, for Hendrix education majors to work directly with children.
The Computer Lab

| The Department Computer Lab features 6 computers for students to use. |

The six-station computer lab is primarily for education candidates to use for their study purposes, but it is occasionally used by the education courses if the study of a specific topic benefits from all being on-line simultaneously. To better meet our students' schedules, the computers were moved into the main library in 2005. Students are now capable of accessing these computers during the evening hours.
