Catering Sous Chef
Food service spans three generations in my family, so you could say it runs in my blood. My grandmother was the food service director for Henderson College in Arkadelphia, Arkansas in the 1950's and 1960's and my mom taught home economics and was a nutrition consultant for 40 years. I started my culinary journey at TGI Friday's in North Little Rock in 1990. I continued working for large national chain restaurants in the Little Rock area for 5 years where I gained valuable experience in a variety of areas. In 1995, I had the opportunity to move to Colorado and manage one of the kitchens at the Steamboat Ski and Resort Corporation. I continued there honing my skills for 8 years, while working with various culinary professionals from around the world. After a two-year culinary tour in Denver Colorado, I returned to Conway to be closer to my family. I was honored with the opportunity to join the Hendrix team in 2009 and work with the award winning Chef Scott Pickens. Hendrix College is an amazing place and has great people to work with and to serve. I look forward to seeing you in the Dining Hall.
