Counseling Services
Counseling Services

Counseling Services are available to all Hendrix students free of charge. Counseling Services welcomes all students to see a counselor in a private and safe environment regardless of their reasons for making an appointment. A short-term counseling model is followed. Most cases can be handled in ten sessions or less. Individuals desiring or needing long-term therapy are referred to off-campus facilities in the community. Counseling Services also offers a variety of educational workshops, groups, and prevention programs.

To schedule an appointment with a counselor, please call Student Counseling Services at 501-450-1448. Counseling Services is located at 1541 Washington Street in the "white house" behind the Mills Building.

The Family Education Rights and Privacy Act of 1974 (Buckley Amendment) indicates that the records maintained by counselors and psychologists are not to be classified as "educational records." Therefore, the records kept by the Counseling Center are confidential and do not become a part of a student's permanent record.
