THE MAJOR IN CLASSICS

- Latin 110 and Latin 120

- Greek 110 and Greek 120

- Latin 210 or Greek 210

- 2 courses in Latin and/or Greek at the 300-level (may be both in Latin, both in Greek, or a combination)

- Latin 410 or Greek 410

- Classics 200

- Classics/History 301

- Classics/History 302

- 2 other courses chosen from offerings in Latin, Greek, and/or Classics (including courses cross-listed with Classics)

Students interested in graduate work in Classics should plan to take as many 300-level language courses as possible.

 

SENIOR CAPSTONE

 - Latin 410 or Greek 410

- passing a written exam (with a grade of C or higher) based on key authors in the field

 

THE CLASSICS MINOR

 - Latin 110 and Latin 120 or Greek 110 and Greek 120

- 1 course in Latin or Greek at the 200-level or above

- 3 remaining courses chosen from offerings in Latin, Greek, and/or Classics (including courses cross-listed with Classics)
