Charter School Leadership Institute  
Goals and Objectives

Hendrix College will work in conjunction with the Arkansas Department of Education and other charter school support groups to provide quality leadership in all charter schools in Arkansas.  As a result, the Hendrix College Charter School Leadership Institute will address the following goals and objectives:

Goal 1
To disseminate information, conduct research, and provide high quality, ongoing professional development training for current charter school leaders

Objectives:

  • Develop a website for the Charter School Leadership Institute
  • Develop informational pamphlets, an email List Serve, and other communication devices for the Charter Leadership Institute
  • Provide intensive training in research-based effective school leadership principles  (See Research-based Effective School Leadership Principles for Charter Schools) 

Goal 2
To identify, recruit, and provide professional development training for prospective charter school leaders

Objectives:

  • Develop and maintain a log of potential charter school leaders
  • Provide information sessions for prospective charter school leaders
  • Provide intensive training in research-based effective school leadership principles (See Research-based Effective School Leadership Principles for Charter Schools)
