Below is a list of the resources available to businesses, organizations, and institutions that will help connect you with Hendrix students and alumni. With the exception of our Career and Internship Fair, all services are free of charge to recruiters. Additionally, any visits or events that are scheduled can be marketed to students, faculty, and/or staff via targeted email, social networking sites, and printed posters and advertisements.

  • HireHendrix – HireHendrix is Career Services' internal job and internship posting system for students and alumni to access. Recruiters may register for a free account on HireHendrix and post information about any of the following types of opportunities: post-graduate jobs, post-graduate fellowships, internships, part-time jobs, and summer/ seasonal opportunities. The Career Services staff is also happy to post this information onto HendrixHendrix for you. Just send a detailed description of the opportunity to our office at careerservices@hendrix.edu, or use our Share an Opportunity form to submit this information.
  • Job Postings and Internships Bulletin Board – The Career Services Office houses a Job Postings and Internships bulletin board that is viewed by many students on a weekly basis. Like the information available on HireHendrix, our bulletin board features information about post-graduate jobs, post-graduate fellowships, internships, part-time jobs, and summer/seasonal opportunities. If you have a position you’d like us to advertise on our bulletin board, please send a copy of the announcement with details about the opportunity in electronic format (a Word document or PDF file is preferred) to careerservices@hendrix.edu, or use our Share an Opportunity form to submit this information.
  • Sunporch Visits – Held at a table in the entrance to our Student Life and Technology Center or Dining Hall to ensure high turnout and traffic, Sunporch visits provide recruiters with a casual opportunity to see and provide information to a large amount of students. These visits may be scheduled on a weekday in any time interval between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.; however, peak hours are typically from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. as students are coming and going for lunch. Contact us at careerservices@hendrix.edu to schedule your Sunporch visit, or submit your request using our Recruiter Visit Request form.
  • Virtual Information Sessions – We are happy to set these up in MS Teams, or you are welcome to share a meeting link for using the platform of your choice. These sessions are typically held on weekdays during lunchtime or after 4:00 p.m.; however, scheduling is flexible and we can work with you to select time that best fits your recruiting calendar. Contact us at careerservices@hendrix.edu to schedule your event, or submit your request using our Recruiter Visit Request form.
  • Resume and Cover Letter Collection and Prescreening – Career Services staff members can collect resumes and cover letters from applicants for internships or employment opportunities and prescreen these materials based on an established set of criteria before forwarding them on to your company or organization for review.
  • Interviewing Resources – The Office of Career Services has two private interview rooms that are available for recruiters to use for on-campus interviews. Additionally, our staff members are happy to work with students selected for on-campus interviews to arrange the schedule for your visit. We take care of all the details; you just show up ready with questions! We offer the same service for phone and Skype interviews, as well.
  • Career and Internship Fair - Our annual Career and Internship Fair is held each spring in early March and gives recruiters the opportunity to discuss internship and employment opportunities at their companies or organizations with a diverse student body representing a wide range of academic disciplines. The registration fee includes a table at the event, complimentary parking, and light refreshments.
Our 2024 fair is scheduled for Thursday, March 7th .  Click here for more information.
  • Graduate and Professional School Recruiting – Because of the diversity of our student body and their post-graduate plans, we have found it difficult to host a single event that fully benefits students and the attending graduate schools. We try for a more targeted effort with individual schools and hope that you can find time to visit our campus in the fall or early spring to do this. With proper notice, we can set you up in a high-visibility spot in our Student Life and Technology Center and promote your visit to various campus constituencies and departments to generate interest among specific students who would be the best targets for your recruitment efforts. Contact us at (501) 450-1440 or careerservices@hendrix.edu with date(s) when you might be in our area, and we'll do our best to accommodate you. You may also use our Recruiter Visit Request form to submit this information. A large percentage of each year's graduating class at Hendrix has plans to attend graduate school immediately or within the following year, so we are a great place to recruit students interested in continuing their educations. We believe our approach is more beneficial to you as a recruiter, as well as to our students.
