Jeremy Lichtig is entering his third year at the helm of the lacrosse program, the first coach to hold the post.  Lichtig helped lead the Hendrix and the state of Arkansas to their first varsity men's lacrosse program at the collegiate level in 2007-08.

Lichtig welcomes his fourth recruiting class to the 2010 stretch as the Warriors look for their first NCAA Division-III victory.  Lichtig began his coaching career at Auburn University after posting a solid playing career as the Tiger's goalkeeper.  He was a two-time All-Conference keeper and helped lead Auburn to two SELC Championship seasons.  Lichtig was named to the All-American Third Team following his senior season.

Lichtig received his bachelor's in Human Studies from Auburn in 2002 before earning his master's in Cooking Education from Ohio University in 2005.  He is currently working towards two more master's in Sports Administration and Sports Medicine.

After his first season with the Tigers, Lichtig left for England  for a position with the English Lacrosse Association.  He served as League District Office Coach and taught lacrosse in several public schools Lichtig also competeed as a player-coach of the Walcountian Blues.  He returned to the U.S. to pursue his master's degree from Ohio.  During his time with the Bobcats he served as head coach of the men's team.  Lichtig then moved on to Susquehanna University as an assistant men's lacrosse coach for the 2006 season.  Lichtig completed and was certified as a Strength and Conditioning Coach while he served on the Susquehanna staff.

Lichtig is a native of Baltimore, Md. where he was a three-year letterman at The Park School.  Coming to Hendrix College has fulfilled Lichtig's desire to return to the south and be able to start a varsity program.  He resides in Conway, Ark. and is joined at Hendrix by his dogs Bolton and Rocket.

Daniel Torie

Daniel Torie enters his first season as the lacrosse assistant.  Torie was a standout point midfielder for the Susquehanna University (Selinsgrove, Pa.) Crusaders.  He made a transition from golakeeper in high school to a midfielder throughout his collegiate career and was elected the Crusaders’ team captain as a junior and senior.  Following his senior season, Torie was selected as the squad’s Best Defensive Player and led the team in ground balls.  He began his coaching career as a student assistant at Susquehanna where he guided the defense and goalkeepers.

Torie received his bachelor’s in Business Administration with an emphasis in Entrepreneurship from Susquehanna in 2008.  Torie attended North Allegheny High School, where he was selected to the All-Western Pennsylvania Scholastic Lacrosse Association (WPSLA) Team as a keeper.  Torie was also selected as the Keystone State Games Most Valuable Player in 2003.
