Tryouts for the Warrior Cheer and Dance teams are right around the corner. Tryouts are open to all qualified students who wish to show their support for the Warrior Athletic Programs and generate school spirit.

Hendrix College’s athletic mascot “Ivan the Warrior” was introduced in 2008 and named in honor of the College’s legendary coach and administrator Ivan Grove. “Ivan” performs at home athletic events generating crowd spirit and providing support to our athletic teams along with the Warrior Cheer Squad and the Warrior Dance Team.

Hendrix spirit groups include the cheer squad, dance team and mascot, Ivan the Warrior. The spirit groups perform at all home men’s and women’s basketball games and occasionally travel to away games when scheduling permits. Full Story
