Hendrix is located in Conway, Arkansas, a city of 50,000 people and the second-fastest growing city in Arkansas. With three institutions of higher learning, including Hendrix, and local celebrations, Conway is truly a mix of the progressive and the picturesque. It is the kind of town where you head downtown for shopping or enjoying the sunset at the lake.

Conway is at the foothills of the Ozark Mountains. Cadron Settlement Park is located just a few minutes northwest of Conway. With a view of the Arkansas River and several hiking trails, it is an ideal place to spend a spring day picnicking or canoeing with friends. Petit Jean Mountain State Park is located about 45 minutes from Hendrix to the north and offers activities like hiking the Cedar Falls trail. To the southwest is Pinnacle Mountain State Park which lends itself to the usual park activities along with a starlight concert series and guided wildlife hikes

Driving Directions to Hendrix

DIRECTIONS:  From Interstate 40, take Exit 125 in Conway, heading south. You will pass Wal-Mart on your left, a shopping center on your right, and construction on your left. The very next street to your right (before you get to the pedestrian overpass) is Winfield.  Turn right on Winfield and proceed along the north border of the campus.  At the roundabout, enter to your right and circle around ¾ of the way and exit south on Washington.  The second building on your left is the Mills Center.  There are several parking lots to your left.  Come into the lobby of the Mills Center where registration will be held.  After you register, you will receive directions to the appropriate residence halls where you can move in.
