  • Dancer must bring his/her own music.  The studio is equipped with a CD player and iPod connection.
  • Dancer will need to perform two contrasting pieces no longer than two minutes each (total of four minutes of movement maximum) that demonstrate the dancer’s creative, technical and performance strengths.  Example: One modern piece and one jazz piece, or one percussive modern piece and one lyrical modern piece.  Ballet pointe work is not required but is an option the dancer may use.
  • Dancer will need to be prepared for an improvisational movement series given by the Hendrix dance instructor.
  • A short interview will follow the performance part of the audition.

Auditions must be scheduled throught the Office of Admission. Specific questions about dance auditions or the dance department may be directed to Professor Brigitte Rogers at rogersb@hendrix.edu.
