Truman Scholarship
The Truman is awarded to college juniors with exceptional leadership potential who are committed to careers in public service. Past service and a clear plan for future work as a “change agent” are necessary for pursuit of the Truman. Students must be in the upper one-fourth of their class to be nominated by the College.

Thomas R. Pickering Foreign Affairs Fellowship
The Pickering Undergraduate Foreign Affairs Fellowship seeks to recruit talented sophomores (at least a 3.2 GPA) in academic programs relevant to international affairs, political and economic analysis, administration, management, and science policy. The goal is to attract students who have an interest in pursuing a Foreign Service career in the US Department of State. The fellowship award includes tuition, room, board, and mandatory fees during the senior year of college and during the first year of graduate study.

Boren Scholarships
Funded by the National Education Security Program, Boren Scholarships provide up to $20,000 to US undergraduate students to study abroad in regions other than Western Europe, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand.

Morris K. Udall Foundation Scholarship
This fellowship provides awards of up to $5,000 to juniors and seniors in fields related to the environment and to Native Americans. Consideration is given to the student’s field of study and the extent to which that individual has the commitment and potential to make a significant contribution to his or her field.

Benjamin A. Gilman Scholarship
This scholarship provides awards for US undergraduate who are receiving federal Pell Grant funding up to $5,000 to participate in study abroad programs worldwide.
