Commencement 2009
Graduation Caps

Join us on campus for the culmination of the Class of 2009's life at Hendrix College.  Dr. Benjamin Bernard Dunlap, the current president of Wofford College in Spartainburg, S.C., will be the commencement speaker at Hendrix College’s 125th commencement exercises. The ceremony will begin at 9 a.m. Saturday, May 9, in the Wellness and Athletic Center on the Hendrix College campus. The reception will be held immediately following in the Recreation Gym of the Wellness and Athletic Center.

For your convenience, we've included the information in the graduation packets on this site.  Please take a moment to review this information and feel free to contact us with any further questions you may have. Parents of graduating seniors will be receiving a letter from the Office of Academic Affairs.

Thank you for supporting your Hendrix student’s endeavors in the classrooms and beyond. We look forward to celebrating each student’s accomplishments.

Location Change

The commencement location has been changed to the Wellness and Athletic Center due to the extremely wet ground and the forecast of possibly more rain on Saturday, May 9.  The Wellness and Athletic Center will accommodate all of our guests.  Parking is limited at the Wellness and Athletic Center, but there will be parking all around the campus.  There will be shuttles going to all of the parking lots picking up guests and transporting them to the Wellness and Athletic Center.

The reception will take place at the Wellness and Athletic Center in the recreational gymnasium.

Please let me know if you have any questions regarding commencement.  We look forward to celebrating this special day with you and your family!

Best wishes,
