Preliminary street construction is expected to take place at The Village at Hendrix this week.
Most of the clearing and grubbing of The Village site is completed. Crews are now expected to begin cutting the streets and performing backfilling, which will show the outlines of the streets inside The Village.
Additionally, utility work at The Village is expected to begin by the end of the week.
Area residents will now begin to see significant construction on the site. First phase elements will include a diverse choice of residential buildings – single-family detached houses, townhouses and apartments – along with a blend of retail establishments and office space. Mixed-use buildings incorporating commercial elements on the first floor and residential units on upper floors are expected to be completed by the summer of 2009.
