Phi Beta Kappa

pbk.jpg (12404 bytes)Hendrix College shelters the Arkansas Beta Chapter of Phi Beta Kappa, the nation's oldest and most prestigious honor society. The chapter was chartered in 1997 and inducted its first 27 Hendrix student members in the spring of 1998. No more than 10 percent of any graduating class can be inducted into PBK. Seniors must have a 3.8 grade point average and juniors a 3.95 to be considered for the honor. More than one dozen Hendrix faculty members, who earned the Phi Beta Kappa keys at premiere institutions across the country, are charter members of the Beta of Arkansas Chapter. Hendrix is one of more than 260 of the nation's best colleges and universities that are permitted to induct their graduates into Phi Beta Kappa.
