The Buthman Historical Society is an organization which seeks to support and to promote scholarly pursuit and interest in history. The club is open to all fields of historical study, including American, European, non-Western, local, social and intellectual history. The club also works to increase awareness of career opportunities available to students of history. Although the organization primarily exists for history majors, all students who share an active interest in the study of history are invited to become members.

College Bowl is a competition, very much like the high school "Quiz Bowl." Every year, a tournament is held to determine the members of the Hendrix College Bowl team, which then competes against other colleges.

Open to all students interested in the legal profession, the Pre-Law Club's emphasis is on the preparation of students for law school. The club also seeks to explore career opportunities for law school graduates through regular meetings and guest lectures. Membership is voluntary.

The Pre-Theology Club is a voluntary organization for students interested in the ministry or church-related fields. Its main functions are to promote fellowship, to present different aspects of various ministries for discussion and consideration, and to explore religious concepts which are of common interest.

Professional Business Leaders (PBL) is an organization for students interested in business careers and business-related fields. The purpose of the organization is to provide additional opportunities for post-secondary students to develop vocational and career competencies and to promote civic and personal responsibility. The mission is to get business and education together in a positive working relationship through innovative leadership and career development programs.

The Psychology Club is an organization for students interested in psychology and those planning a psychology-related career. Meetings involve guest speakers, films, field trips, and social gatherings, in addition to general business. The club awards scholarships each year to members planning to attend graduate school. One need not be a psychology major to join.

The Society of Physics Students is a nationally recognized organization for students interested in physics and/or physics-related fields. Regular meetings are open to everyone and consist of guest speakers, films, or student presentations. The club also sponsors special events during the year to promote interest in physics. Local membership dues are three dollars per year, plus optional national membership for $10. The national membership includes a one-year subscription to Physics Today.

The Sociology Club is for students interested in knowing more about the social and cultural aspects of human activities and/or who are considering sociology-related careers. The Sociology Club cosponsors the Arkansas Undergraduate Sociology and Anthropology Symposium each spring. Volunteer activities and such public events as speakers, films, and panel discussions addressing current social issues are organized each term. Regular meetings are held each month. Annual dues are two dollars, and membership is open to all students.

SAEA consists of students preparing for the teaching profession. Through membership in the local chapter, members are also entitled to membership in the National Education Association and the Arkansas Education Association. SAEA provides speakers in the teaching field as well as easy access to information concerning the profession.

The aim of USSR is to increase interest and awareness in Russian culture, language, literature, and politics. The organization will host regular language instruction, along with administrative meetings, film showings, and book readings. USSR exists for and benefits all people interested in studying Russia.
