CONWAY, Ark. (May 26) -- Hendrix College senior Craig Thomas and sophomore Kristi Vo have been named to the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference’s inaugural Men’s and Women’s Tennis All-Sportsmanship Teams last week.  Twelve tennis players were selected to the 2009 squad on both the men’s and women’s side.

CONWAY, Ark. (May 5) -- Hendrix College first year Michael Gardner received 2009 SCAC Men’s Tennis All-SCAC Honorable Mention on Monday after exclusive voting by the head coaches in the league.

CONWAY, Ark. (April 30) -- Hendrix College first year Michael Gardner was the lone player from the men’s tennis team to be named to the 2009 SCAC All-Tournament squad after guiding the Warriors to a 10th place finish at Burns Park in North Little Rock this past weekend.

NORTH LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (April 25) -- Hendrix College and Millsaps College squared off in the afternoon match to determine 9th and 10th place in the 2009 SCAC Tennis Tournament and the Majors came out on top 8-1.  First year Michael Gardner picked up the Warriors’ lone point with a 7-6(4), 6-2 win in No. 1 singles.

NORTH LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (April 24) -- Centre College narrowly escaped the opening round of the 2009 SCAC Tournament with a 5-4 win over Hendrix College on Friday morning at Burns Park. The Warriors took the Colonels to three extra-set matches and forced two tie-breakers in singles play, while doubles action saw a pair of 8-6 decisions.

CONWAY, Ark. (Feb. 16) -- The Hendrix College men’s tennis team had a full schedule with four matches over the weekend at the Mabee Center. The Warriors went 2-2 with wins over John Brown University and University of the Ozarks and losses to University of Arkansas-Pine Bluff and University of Arkansas-Fort Smith.

CONWAY, Ark. (Feb. 4) -- The Harding University men’s tennis team completed a 9-0 sweep over Hendrix College on Tuesday at the Mabee Center. The Warriors fall to 0-1 on the year and will host University of Arkansas-Pine Bluff on Feb. 13.

CLARKSVILLE, Ark. -- Hendrix College first years Michael Gardner and Kent Dunson breezed through an 8-0 number one doubles victory, while Gardner picked up a 6-1, 6-0 number one singles win to help the Warriors to a season-opening 6-3 win over University of the Ozarks Wednesday afternoon.

CONWAY, Ark. -- Hendrix College head men’s and women’s tennis coach Harold Henderson was named winner of the Arkansas United States Professional Tennis Association (USPTA) Professional of the Year on August 23 at the annual meeting of the USPTA Arkansas Chapter.
