CONWAY, Ark. (Nov. 15) -- University of the Ozarks collected 42 points in the paint and used a 34 point effort from sophomore forward Blake Mitchem to earn its second straight season-opening win, 95-76, over Hendrix College on Sunday afternoon at Grove Gymnasium.

SUWANEE, Ga. - In exclusive balloting by Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference men’s head basketball coaches, defending league champion Centre College and Trinity University were tabbed as preseason favorites to capture the SCAC Eastern Division and Western Division championships, respectively.

CONWAY, Ark. (Nov. 11) -- The Hendrix College men’s basketball team returns to the gym this weekend to embark on what is guaranteed to be another exciting season on the hardwood. Head coach Dan Priest enters his sixth season at the helm and will look to his four seniors to help lead the squad its fourth-straight postseason tournament.

(Sept. 15) -- The Hendrix College Athletics Department was busy reviewing resumes and conducting interviews throughout the summer, so you may see a few new faces on the sidelines when attending contests this year.  The Warriors have welcomed six new coaches and an athletic trainer to the 2009-10 staff.

CONWAY, Ark. (March 4) -- Hendrix College head women’s basketball coach Chris Hitchcock has resigned for personal reasons. Hendrix assistant men’s basketball coach Thad McCracken has been named the new head women’s basketball coach. Amber Gean will remain as the women's assistant coach.

CONWAY, Ark. (Feb. 28) -- Hendrix College and Centre College squared off in the last semifinal game of the 2009 SCAC Men’s Basketball Tournament and placed an exclamation mark at the end of Saturday’s sentence with a 78-77 barn-burner at Grove Gymnasium. Unfortunately, the Warriors came out on the wrong end of the deal and Centre advanced to the championship game for its fourth-straight year.

SEWANEE, Ga. (Feb. 24) -- The Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC), in conjunction with Hendrix College, will conduct a silent auction to raise money for a local Conway charity, the First United Methodist Church's food pantry, at its annual men's and women's basketball tournament.
