CONWAY, Ark. (Sept. 1) -- Hendrix College seniors Becca Clancy (pictured) and Leah Groat combined for 16 kills to pace the Warriors to a 3-0 season opening win against Central Baptist College in front of a packed house at Grove Gymnasium on Wednesday night.

Hendrix earned the three game sweep 25-22, 25-21, 25-16 and extends its win streak to 17 games against the Lady Mustangs.  The Warriors will now travel to Irving, Texas to compete in the University of Dallas Invitation for four matches over the weekend.

Clancy led the team with 13 kills and Groat added seven to the mix.  Sophomore middle blocker Melissa Clement also tallied seven kills, while junior outside hitter Jennifer Youngblood made four kills.

First year setter Zoe Calhoun led the team with 13 assists and junior setter Ashley Skinner collected 11 assists.  Senior libero Kim Larson provided 18 digs, while Clancy and senior defensive specialist Sara Gawor added seven digs apiece.
